A more personalised approach to gut health
I started Isola Health because I saw too many people struggling with gut issues that weren't being properly addressed. Tests would come back normal, but symptoms remained. Generic advice wasn't working.
As an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist with specialised training in gut health and Monash FODMAP protocols, I focus on helping people identify their specific triggers and create sustainable management plans.
My approach is straightforward:
- Detailed symptom mapping to find patterns others miss
- Evidence-based protocols tailored to your situation
- Honest guidance on what's realistic for your case
- Ongoing support as your symptoms evolve
If your gut issues are affecting your daily life and you're ready for a structured, evidence-based approach, let's talk.

Hear from our gut health clients

Your questions, answered
We'll have a 15-20 minute conversation about your current symptoms, what you've tried so far, and your main concerns. We'll explain how our approach works and whether it's a good fit for your situation. There's no pressure to commit, it's simply a chance for us both to determine if working together makes sense. You'll leave with clarity on next steps, whether that's booking an initial consultation or exploring other options.
No, you don't need a referral to book a free discovery call with our dietitians.
You also don't need a GP referral to have consultations with our dietitians and you are welcome to use your private health insurance if you have it. For some clients with chronic conditions, you may receive medicare rebates under the GP Chronic Condition Management Plan (GPCCMP). Please speak with your GP to find out if you are eligible. If so you will receive between 1 and 5 sessions under the care plan and typically receive $60.35 back.
Yes, absolutely. Functional gut disorders like IBS, bloating, and food intolerances often don't show up on standard blood tests, scopes, or imaging. This is incredibly common and doesn't mean your symptoms aren't real or significant. We focus on symptom patterns, trigger identification, and evidence-based dietary and lifestyle management rather than relying on test results alone. Many of our clients have "normal" test results but experience daily symptoms that significantly impact their quality of life.
Most people try Low FODMAP without proper guidance, cutting out foods randomly, staying in elimination too long, or skipping the reintroduction phase entirely. Our approach is different: we don't jump straight to Low FODMAP. We start with less restrictive, evidence-based interventions first to address your symptoms and root causes.
When Low FODMAP is appropriate, we use the Monash University protocol systematically: eliminate high FODMAP foods for 2-4 weeks with careful symptom tracking, then reintroduce one food at a time to identify YOUR specific triggers. We also assess portion sizes, timing, and food combinations. The goal isn't restricting foods forever, it's understanding what affects you so you can eventually eat more freely.
This is very common with our clients. GPs and gastroenterologists are excellent at diagnosing conditions and ruling out serious issues, but they often don't have time for detailed dietary assessment and ongoing symptom management.
That's where specialised dietitians come in. We have more time to map your symptoms, identify patterns, and test dietary triggers systematically. We work alongside your medical team with a different focus on the specific nutrition and lifestyle factors affecting your gut. Our specialisation means we've worked with hundreds of similar cases and know what patterns to look for.
If you've already seen a dietitian or nutritionist without improvement, we'll discuss what you tried during the discovery call to understand if our approach might offer something different.
The 15-minute discovery call is completely free.
If we decide to work together, the initial consultation (90 minutes) is $200, and follow-up appointments (45-60 minutes) are $130. You may be eligible for Medicare rebates of up to $61.80 per session if you have a GP referral and Chronic Disease Management Plan. Many private health funds also provide rebates for dietitian services - check with your provider. We'll discuss all costs clearly during your free call before you commit to anything.
This varies depending on your individual situation and triggers. Most clients begin noticing slight symptom improvements within 2-4 weeks of implementing our interventions. Some people experience relief quickly while others take longer.
To create real, lasting change, we typically recommend following our protocol for 3 months. The most important thing is that we make gradual, realistic changes that are as least restrictive as possible so it doesn't feel overwhelming and you can actually sustain it long-term.
